William Ray Bockover

William Ray Bockover, 82 passed away on August 22, 2023.

He was born on August 9^th, 1941 to his parents Carlos and Norma (Landseadal) Bockover in Tipton, IN.

Bill attended and graduated from Tipton High School in 1959 and immediately started working with General Motors in Anderson, Indiana. He attended night school while obatining an associates degree in engineering. Bill worked his entire 50 year career at General Motors before retiring in 2006.

Bill married Karen Sue Pedro on June 11, 1960, in Tipton, IN and recently celebrated their 63^rd anniversary this past June. Bill and Sue were blessed with three children, son Scott Bockover, son Terry Bockover, and daughter Kandy Bockover-Zentz.

In his retirment, Bill enjoyed reading books, watching Nascar and golf, as well as family get togethers where he enjoyed being the grill master.

Bill is preceded in passing by his parents, his son Scott, his brother Gary and sister Marilyn Bockover.

Bill is survived by his wife of 63 years Karen Sue Bockover, son Terry (Rhonda) Bockover of Kokomo, IN, and daughter Kandy Bockover-Zentz of Westfield, IN; sister Frances (Ron) Ronning of Kennewick, WA;  seven grandchildren who love and remember him fondly as Pa Meco; Ashley (Jeremy) Zentz Wassmer, Trey Zentz, Emily Zentz, Noah Zentz, Jessica (Alejandro) Bockover-Vargas, Chris Bockover and Chase Bockover; Nephew Lucas (Leah) Ronning, neices Karlene (Josh) Bidderman, Cassie Andrews and several great nieces and nephews.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
