William "Bill" Kenneth DeWitt

The good Lord called Bill home on August 29, 2026. He was born on December 14, 1948. He was preceded in death by his parents, August and Betty and his two sisters, Sharon and Vickie. 

He is survived by his wife, Brenda, his brother, Brad, his children Caine (Traci), daughter, Courtney, and three grandchildren, Colbi, Angelena and Logan. He has several nieces and nephews. 

Bill served in the Army and was stationed in Vietnam from 1969 to 1972. He worked at the Saturday Evening Post for 10 years and TIC for 28 years. 

Bill enjoyed gardening, light woodworking and computer games. He also enjoyed family time. Bill had a wonderful personality and always loved joking around. He will be missed but we know he is now out of pain and resting in Jesus's arms. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. John Lutheran Church, 6630 Southeastern Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46203.

A visitation for Bill will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at St. John Lutheran Church, 6630 Southeastern Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46203. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 4:30 pm, with visitation beginning one hour prior. Bill will be laid to rest at St. John Cemetery at a later date.
