William Best

William Parker Best, Sr. of Indianapolis passed away on December 19, 2023. He was 95. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara (Link); parents, Claus H. and Vera Best; sister, Elizabeth Coffin; daughter, Margaret "Peggy" Best; and son, William P. Best, Jr. He is survived by daughters, Amy Wilmouth and Deborah Robertson; step-children, Greg Morgan, Jeff Morgan, and Lisa Argue; niece, Amy Storer; and their children and grandchildren. Dr. Best graduated from Shortridge High School and Purdue University where he obtained his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering and doctorate degree in educational psychology. He served in the Air Force and as a chemical engineer at Eli Lilly. He retired as a professor of graduate education at IUPUI. At his request there will be no service, but memorial contributions may be made to the Altzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
