William Thomas Holsapple, 73, known to everyone as Tom, passed away on October 27, 2026.

Tom was born on September 3, 1953, in Washington, Indiana. His life spanned 73 years, leaving behind memories, experiences, and a legacy that will be cherished by those who knew and loved him.

Shortly after Tom's birth, he and his family moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, where he spent his childhood. He attended IPS School 89 and later graduated from Arlington High School. Following graduation, Tom enlisted in the United States Army, where he proudly served from 1972 to 1978. During his six years of service, he was stationed in Germany, where he lived for the duration of his military service.

In the spring of 1980, Tom met the love of his life, Marsha (Witsman) Holsapple. The two would go on to marry on May 22, 1982, beginning a life together filled with family, memories, and love.

Tom attended Vincennes University, where he graduated in 1983 with an associate degree in Laser and Electro-Optics. He went on to build a career with Konica Minolta, where he eventually concluded his professional career as a Warehouse Manager.

Tom was also active in several organizations throughout his life, including Sahara Grotto, Brookside Masonic Lodge No. 720, the Scottish Rite, and the American Legion. He valued the friendships, fellowship, and opportunities to serve that came through his involvement in these organizations.

Tom had a great sense of humor and was always ready with a joke. He loved making people laugh and enjoyed a good laugh himself. His quick wit and playful personality brought smiles to those around him, and his laughter will be remembered by all.

Tom was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Holsapple; his mother, Joy (Jones) Holsapple; his father, William H. Holsapple; and Mary Ellen (Holsapple) Slider.

Tom is survived by his loving wife, Marsha (Witsman) Holsapple; his daughters, Lindsey Holsapple and Rebecca Aponte (Dustin); his sons, William Taylor Holsapple (Carissa) and Christopher Matthew Holsapple; his dog daughter, Maggie Mae Holsapple; his sisters, Cheryl Tapp (Jack) and Linda Kelly; and his six beloved grandchildren, Chandler and Kenzie Holsapple, Eleni and Eleanor Aponte, and Carter and Kaylee Holsapple.

Faith was an important part of Tom's life. He attended Otterbein United Methodist Church for most of his life and was an active, dedicated member of the congregation. Tom deeply loved his church and generously gave his time and service. He was part of the church's leadership team and served as the Chair of the Staff Parish Relations Committee, a role he took to heart.

As many of you know, Tom was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Through his journey, he found great joy in attending classes at Rock Steady Boxing. The classes provided him with not only exercise and encouragement, but also a sense of community and happiness.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Otterbein United Methodist Church or Rock Steady Boxing.

Tom's memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
