Wilbur Joseph Riedy

Wilbur J. Riedy, 96, of Speedway, IN, passed away July 12, 2025.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 19, 2025 at St. Malachy Church in Brownsburg, IN. Visitation will be held at the church immediately preceding mass from 10:00-11:00 am.

Wilbur (Bud) was born September 6, 1928, in Indianapolis, IN. He joined the Navy in 1950 during the Korean War and served aboard an aircraft carrier. After the Navy, Bud attended Purdue and graduated from Indiana Technical College (now Indiana Institute of Technology) in Fort Wayne. He graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked for Allison Gas Turbine. Then he and several partners started Marsland Associates.

Wilbur was preceded in death by his wife, Anne Skelley Riedy; his parents, Wilbur and Helen Riedy; his siblings, Barth Riedy and Mary Smith; and daughter, Carol Ellen Riedy.

Survivors include his siblings, John Riedy and Linda Kurker; his children, Robert Riedy, Katie (Chris) Galloway, Susan (Don) Kelley, Terri Riedy, Mark (Debbie) Riedy, and Mary (Scott) Davis; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Malachy to have masses said for Wilbur.
