Virginia Lavern Overton

Virginia Lavern (Reams) Overton, 73, of Elkville, Illinois passed away Monday, February 20, 2023, in Bloomington, Indiana.

Virginia was born on Thursday, June 23, 1949 to the late Elzie and Thelma (Messer) Reams in Makanda, Illinois.

Virginia is survived by her children, Roy Overton and his wife Lynette, Angie Smothermon; siblings, Joey Reams, Ronnie Reams, Elzie (Tommy) Reams, Larry Reams; grandchildren, Heather Pickens, Stephanie Creath, Kimberly Hash, Mitchell Smothermon, Kathryn Smothermon; great grandchildren, Colton Hash, Eliana Pickens, Alessandra Creath, Grant Hash, Adalynn Pickens, and Briar Creath.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred E. Overton; parents Elzie and Thelma Reams; siblings Brenda Reams, Charlotte Overton, Margie Chaundy, Danny Reams, Frieda Carter, and Sherri Baker.

She will be forever loved and forever missed.
