Veretta Ann Price, beloved mother, grandmother, and great‑grandmother, passed away on April 8, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on October 24, 1936, Veretta was the second oldest of nine children. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Texie Legg.

Veretta is survived by her three daughters, who were the center of her world: Rhonda Savage (Steve), Cindy Shaffer, and Gina Bowman. She was a proud grandmother to Jennifer Panagakos (George), Michael Griffith, Amber Recometa (Sean), and Erin Espinosa. Step grandchildren Graham Savage and Dan Savage (Nicole) Her joy only grew with the arrival of her great‑grandchildren: Gloria Marshak (Ben), Nathan Marshak (Jack), Henry Marshak, Tony Marshak, Sean Recometa II., Austin Recometa, Malia Espinosa, and Aiden Espinosa, Claire and Blake Savage.

She retired from RCA/Thomson Consumer Electronics in 1998, closing a long chapter of dedicated work and beginning a new one filled with the things she loved most. Veretta had a vibrant spirit, she loved to laugh, to have fun, and especially to dance. Music and movement brought her joy throughout her life. She was also a gifted artist, and in her younger years she loved to sing, blessed with a beautiful voice that her family remembers fondly.

Above all, Veretta was a good mother and grandmother—steadfast, loving, and proud of the family she raised. Her warmth, creativity, and lively spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Her legacy lives on in the generations she nurtured, the laughter she shared, and the love she gave so freely.

The family invites those wishing to honor her memory to make a donation to the American Cancer Society.
