Vanetta Marie Crowe, a radiant soul whose spirit touched everyone she encountered, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026, in Sevierville, Tennessee. Born on December 14, 1959, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Vanetta’s life was a vibrant tapestry woven with love, dedication, and an unyielding zest for life that was truly infectious.
Vanetta was a woman of many remarkable facets. She devoted herself to a career that perfectly mirrored her dynamic nature; she was both a compassionate minister and a skilled truck driver. Through her ministry, she uplifted countless lives with her heartfelt guidance and unwavering faith. Behind the wheel of her truck, she embraced the open road with the same spirit of adventure and vitality that defined her existence. Those who knew her remember Vanetta as fun, bubbly, energetic, and unequivocally full of life—a shining beacon of joy and perseverance.
Her journey on this earth was deeply enriched by family, both near and far. Though she faced profound losses—the passing of her beloved parents, Richard Crowe and Virginia Burnett, as well as her dear daughter Veita Carroll and son Coby Crowe—Vanetta’s enduring love was never dimmed. She is survived by her loving daughter, Joanna Carroll, and son, Patrick Crowe, who carry forward her legacy of strength and warmth. Her family blossomed further through her cherished grandchildren: James Williams III, Jamya Carroll, Jazziana Williams, Henry Maxie Jr., Jaydiah Carroll, Cantrell Byrd Jr., A’nya Carroll, Patrick Green, Lionell Turentine III, and Mireya Crowe. Her spirit continues to live on vibrantly in the hearts of her great-grandchildren Tr'e Brooks Jr., Koby Williams, Tylan Brown, and Alayah Williams, who represent the bright future she held dear.
A visitation honoring Vanetta’s life will take place on May 2, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Indiana Funeral Care - Greenwood Chapel, located at 2433 E. Main St., Greenwood, Indiana. Following this, a funeral service will be held at the same location from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. These gatherings promise to be moments of heartfelt remembrance and celebration of a life that, despite its sorrows, triumphed in love and joy.
Vanetta’s presence was a gift—her laughter, her kindness, and her indomitable spirit inspired all who knew her. While her physical journey has ended, the echoes of her energy and the sweetness of her soul will forever resonate. She taught us the true meaning of living fully, embracing every moment with enthusiasm and grace. As we say goodbye, we hold tightly to the memories of a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose legacy is eternal.
