Vanessa Marie Stassen

Vanessa Marie Stassen was born on June 7, 1988, in Torrance, California, and succumbed to the chronic illness of alcoholism on August 7, 2025, at home in Indianapolis.

She is survived by parents, Mark and Nancy; brother, Greg and his wife Louise; sister, Erica; nephew, Brandon; aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Vanessa had many passions: growing plants, caring for animals (especially her cats), cooking new and delicious dishes, crafting of all kinds, and enjoying the outdoors.

A private burial was held on August 13 at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.

She is loved, she is missed, and she is always in our hearts.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen
