Van Wyck Croshier III, aged 76, passed away on February 22, 2026, in Indianapolis, IN. Born on March 28, 1949, Van was a spirited and outgoing individual, renowned for his fun-loving personality.
Van proudly served two tours of active duty in the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1970, a testament to his bravery and dedication to his country. Following his military service, he established Van Croshier Concrete in 1972, a business that flourished under his leadership and is now successfully managed by his son, Van Wyck Croshier IV.
Van was a graduate of Arsenal Tech High School and was deeply connected to his community through his professional endeavors. He was the beloved husband of Victoria Croshier and a devoted father to sons Van Wyck Croshier IV and Matthew Joseph Croshier, who is engaged to Abbey O'Brien. He was grandfather to Van Wyck Croshier V, Jessalyn Janae Croshier and Vincent Wyck Croshier. He has 4 sisters, Frances Patricia Montgomery, Janice Lorraine Graham, Doryl Anne Kiehl, and Paulette Elizabeth Hermezian.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Van Wyck Croshier and Elizabeth Jane Ross Croshier.
A celebration of Van's life will be held at Indiana Funeral Care East (Formerly Feeney-Hornak Funeral Home), 1307 N. Shadeland Ave, Indianapolis, IN, on Tuesday, March 10th from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Those who knew him will remember Van as a vibrant soul whose legacy is marked by his familial devotion, business acumen, and service to his country.
