Tony Lee
Hastings
Sep 29, 1961 — Aug 25, 2026
Indianapolis, Indiana
Monday
Indiana Funeral Care - Greenwood Chapel
2:00 - 5:00 pm (Eastern time)
Tony Lee Hastings, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away at his home on August 25, 2026, with his family by his side. He was born on September 29, 1961, in Shelbyville, Indiana.
Tony built a long and steady working life through his career with Great States, where he worked for 37 years as a welder making push lawn mowers until the company closed its doors after the business was sold. His dedication to his work reflected the same reliability and commitment that those closest to him knew so well in every part of his life.
He found great joy in the things he loved most. Tony enjoyed going to football games and tailgate parties and was a devoted Tennessee Titans fan. He was also a passionate rock music fan, especially of Kiss, Ozzy, Metallica, and AC/DC, and he attended many shows over the years. These interests brought him happiness and created many memorable moments with the people around him.
Above all, Tony will be remembered for his heart. He had a good soul and was very loving and caring, always there for his family. He loved joking around and being silly with his granddaughter, Athena, who was so special to him. She was his everything, and the bond they shared was a precious part of his life.
Tony is survived by his wife, Brenda J. (Wickliff) Hastings; his daughter, Trisha Hastings; his granddaughter, Athena Hastings; his mother, Shirley (Bartlett) Hastings; and his sister-in-law, Linda (Wickliff) Jones.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles E. Hastings. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved him, and may the love he gave so freely continue to live on in his family.
Visitation will be held on August 31, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Indiana Funeral Care - Greenwood Chapel, 2433 E. Main St., Greenwood, IN 46143.
