Thomas A. Landshof

Thomas A. Landshof passed away in the evening on Tuesday, 19 August 2025. He was 86 years old.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Suzanne Hovey Landshof, his four children Elizabeth, John, Tim, and Rebecca, and by his brother Charles. He has 3 grandchildren, Amanda Fath, Eliza Poxon, and Coco Fath.

Tom was born in Jersey City, New Jersey in 1939, went to prep school at Mt. Herman, then entered Tufts University, where he graduated with a degree in chemistry. More importantly, it was while at Tufts that Tom and Suzanne met one another, fell in love and were married in September 1959.

After a short stint in the Postal Service, Tom moved into the field of chemical coatings, more commonly called the paint industry. He started as a salesman, quickly advancing through increasingly responsible roles, including National Sales Manager, and Chief Executive Officer at two different companies.

Tom had a passion for cooking, especially grilling and barbecuing. All meals at Tom and Suzanne’s household included wine, proper place settings, lit candles and linen napkins. The wine for many years came from The Grapevine Cottage, where Tom chose to use his gift for salesmanship in wine sales, alongside Doug Pendleton, who was known as "The Wine Guy." Tom was very proud when he was given business cards that read “The Wine Geezer”!

The family will celebrate his life in a private ceremony in Carmel.
