Theresae “Trudy” Anne Kirkpatrick, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in Carmel, Indiana, on September 27, 2026, at the age of 76. She was born in Washington, D.C., on November 22, 1949, to Louise Virginia Aycock and Dewey Towns Aycock, Sr.
Trudy dedicated many years of her working life to Verizon, from which she eventually retired. After moving to Indiana, she continued working at Kroger, where she enjoyed staying active and being part of her community.
Trudy had a creative and joyful spirit. She loved to read, enjoyed embroidery, and could embroider just about anything, but her favorite projects were baby quilts. She also had a love of music and especially enjoyed singing in the choir. Singing was a meaningful part of her life, bringing her joy and giving her the opportunity to share her voice with others. Her love of music, creativity, and fellowship were a beautiful reflection of the warmth she brought to those around her.
Trudy was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah King; her son, Galen Hall and his wife, Elisabeth; and her three grandchildren, Madison King, Nikolaos Hall, and Madeleine Hall. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louise Virginia and Dewey Towns Aycock, Sr., and her brother, Dewey Towns Aycock, Jr.
Trudy leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, music, family, and the many beautiful things she made with her hands and her heart. Her memory will live on in the lives of her children, grandchildren, family, and friends.
