Theresa Lou Kapp

Theresa Kapp, a resident of Indianapolis Indiana passed away on January 21, 2026 at the age of 81, after a long courageous 3-year battle with cancer. She found immense joy and serving others, often engaging in lively conversations with individuals from all walks of life. It is unlikely that she encountered a stranger she had not met. Theresa cherished the opportunity to raise her first born granddaughter Amanda. Later in life she took immense pride in raising her great-granddaughter Layah. Theresa was a single mother of five, Tonda Rhodes, Virgil Vasquez, Julio Vasquez, Mylinda Gross, Victoria Vandevoren, as well as Theresa Blankenship. She is survived by grandchildren; Jeremy, James B, Joshua, Jesse, April, Theresa, Kasside, Jeffrey, Virgil, Rocky, James F, Nicole, Damine, Jessica D, Amanda, Dennis, Courtney, James V, Jessica, Richard Fugate, and Virgil Fugate; and several great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Theresa had 10 siblings, with only one surviving brother Paul Curry. She will be forever loved and missed by all her family and friends.
