Thelma Stelzner

August 22, 1939 — January 24, 2023

Thelma Louise Stelzner, 83, passed away on January 23, 2023. She was born in Hazelwood, Indiana on August 22, 1939 to Clarence and Effie (Trent) White. She was an excellent seamstress and her homemade cooking will be terribly missed.  She loved to play upwords with her husband and playing crazy eights with her grandchildren. She would also love it when her great grandchildren would come to visit and they would call her " Old Nana". She was clever enough to do crossword puzzles with an ink pen. She worked at Danville Community Schools as a custodian for several years.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers James White, Bill (Janice) White, Don White; sister Norma Faye White; granddaughter Miranda Jones. Thelma is survived by her husband Stephen Stelzner; children Jeff (Debbie) Waggoner, Lisa (Tim) Ottenbacher, Sheryl (Waggoner) Jones, Michael ( RaiAnn) Stelzner; grandchildren Nichole White, Cory Waggoner,  Brandy Eason, Jessica Cull, Amber Ottenbacher, Andrea and David Jones, Allison, Kari, and Mikey Stelzner; sisters Betty (David) Winchester, Shirley (Terry) Lee, Linda (Ted) Vontress, Janie (Al) Puett; sister in law Mary Jane White; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild with 1 on the way.

There will be a visitation and funeral service on Wednesday, February 1st, 2023 at Your Venture Church in Lizton, Indiana. The visitation is from 10:00am to 12:00pm with the funeral service to follow at 12:00pm. Burial will take place after the funeral service at Amo Cemetery.
