Terry William Crouch Sr., a beloved soul known for his boundless humor and immense heart, passed away on June 12, 2026, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born on May 18, 1968, in Beech Grove, Indiana, Terry's journey was one marked by laughter, loyalty, and an unyielding spirit that touched all who crossed his path.
Growing up in the Greenwood and Trafalgar area, Terry was a proud graduate of Indian Creek High School. From those early days, his personality shone brightly—he was a prankster with a quick wit, never met a stranger, and carried a willingness to break the rules if it meant helping others. His generosity and work ethic were hallmarks of his character, traits that served him both personally and professionally.
In his career, Terry contributed his talents to Amos Hill, Kawneer, and Knauf, demonstrating a commitment to hard work that paralleled the dedication he showed in every aspect of life. Yet, beyond his labor and accomplishments, those who knew Terry remember most his great sense of humor and his big heart.
Among his passions was a deep love for Star Wars, an enthusiasm so endearing that he once wished to name his children Luke and Leia—though, in a lighthearted family debate, this dream was gently overruled. This playful side of Terry perfectly encapsulated the joy he found in life and the joy he brought to others.
Terry's family was central to his life. He is survived by his devoted mother, Phyllis Garrett; his cherished children, Terry W. Crouch Jr. and Krista M. Crouch; his supportive siblings, Lynn Byers (Bob) and Shawn Crouch; his niece, Beth Lindle; and his former wife, Tonya A. Crouch. Their lives were enriched by his presence, love, and the memories they shared. Terry was preceded in death by his father, Donald W. Crouch; step-father, Dick Garrett; brother, Kevin W. Crouch; and nephew, Ben Lindle.
Family and friends will remember Terry not just for his work and his wit, but for the warmth he extended to friends and strangers alike—always ready with a joke, a helping hand, or simply an open heart.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during visitation on June 18, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The gatherings will be held at Indiana Funeral Care - Greenwood Chapel, located at 2433 E. Main St., Greenwood, IN 46143.
Terry William Crouch Sr. leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unshakeable kindness. In remembering him, we honor a man who lived life fully—always with a twinkle in his eye and a warmth in his soul—and whose spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him.
