Tammy Reid-Householder passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023. Tammy was born October 19, 1963, to Vernon D. Reid and Mary K. Reid. Tammy is preceded in death by her parents Vernon D Reid, and Mary K. Reid, stepmother Lynda Reid, Brothers Carl Verbarg, and Fritz Verbarg. She is survived by her daughter Dusty DeWolf, long term partner Mike Peevler, Sisters Kittie Reid-Lake, Penny Sickels, and Vicky Rockwell, brother Scott Reid, and several nieces and nephews.

Tammy moved out to California in her early 20’s where she got married and had her daughter Dusty. She then chose to move back to Indiana and be closer to her family. She was a stay-at-home mom for many years. She then went to work at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where she worked security for several summers, and enjoyed the races like a true Hoosier.

Tammy went by the nickname Trip and lived up to the name. She was a larger-than-life personality, who always had the craziest stories to share. Tammy had a laugh and smile that were downright contagious. She loved music and would never pass up a chance to attend a good concert, especially if it was Alice Cooper. She also loved Harley-Davidson and was an avid rider for years, enjoying wind therapy with old friends and making new ones along the way. Tammy had one of the biggest hearts out there and wore it on her sleeve. She valued her loved ones more than anything else in the world, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A private celebration of life will be held by her family at a later date.
