Steven Tucker Sr.

Steven Tucker Sr. of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, at the age of 71, surrounded by his beloved wife, Teresa Tucker, and his cherished children and grandchildren. Born on March 24, 1954, in Gary, Indiana to Esther Moman and Claybon Tucker.  Steven dedicated over 20 years of his life working as a construction worker with Local 81, a testament to his strong work ethic and commitment to his craft.

As a proud graduate of Roosevelt High School, Steven carried the values of hard work and perseverance throughout his life, becoming a pillar in his family and community. He was not only a devoted husband to Teresa but also a loving father to his children: Kiresa Walker (Michael), Brionna Tucker (Eric), Tiana Tucker, Jocklyn Tucker, Shaina Tucker, and Nicole Tucker. 

Steven’s legacy will continue to live on through his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life. Known for his generosity of spirit and unwavering support, he was a friend to many, embodying kindness and compassion in his interactions.

He is preceded in death by his son Steve Tucker Jr. 

He will be truly missed by all who knew him, leaving a profound void in their hearts. A visitation will be held in his honor on March 21, 2026, from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:30 PM. Both events will take place at Indiana Funeral Care - Greenwood Chapel, located at 2433 E. Main St., Greenwood, IN 46143.

Steven Tucker Sr.’s life was marked by love, dedication, and a deep commitment to his family, making him a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His memory will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know him.
