Steven Edward Smith, 83, passed away on March 25, 2026 at his home in Indianapolis, IN. Steve was born on June 18, 1942 and graduated from Shortridge High School in 1960. He spent his early adulthood as a professional musician followed by dedicating many years of hard work at Chrysler Motors.

Steve was a hardworking man who was deeply devoted to his family. His passion for music, nature and preserving life’s memories stayed with him throughout his life. Those who knew Steve knew that every goodbye, whether face to face or over the phone, ended with the words, "God bless you." It was a simple expression of love and gratitude that he extended to everyone in his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Virginia Smith and brother Jed; His daughters Ericka Pedregon, Ashley Smith and Brooke McGraw; his grandchildren Alexzandra, Joshua, Brianah, and Charlize; his great-granddaughter Alayah; his brother Gregory and sister-in-law Carolyn, niece and nephew Jennifer and Jeffrey, and his beloved partner Glenda Rider.
