Stephen Louis Rebic, 77, of Fishers, went home to be with the Lord May 23, 2026.
He is preceded in death by his father Robert Rebic, mother, Barbara Rebic, as well as his sister Cathy and brother Bobby and his favorite dog, Sam.
Steve was born in Indianapolis and spent his formative years between Indiana and St Petersburg, Florida; which cemented a life-long love of the area, especially Boca Ciega Bay.
Steve served his country with honor in the United States Army, where he was drafted into service in 1969. He completed two campaigns in Vietnam and earned a Bronze Star for each. He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1971.
Steve married the love of his life, Christine Rebic, on October 10, 1987. They remained married until Steve’s passing.
Steve spent 27 years filling various roles at Dan Young Chevrolet before retiring in 1996.
Steve was an avid golfer, fisherman and hunter. He spent hours on the course, on the water and in the woods with his best friend Danny (Gail) Fields. Steve was also a member of the Tin Cup Seekers Golf Group and the NFLCC (National Fishing Lure Collectors Club).
Memorial service to be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Indiana Funeral Care North. 8151 Allisonville, Rd. Indianapolis. 46250. Visitation is from 11am-1pm. Service begins at 1pm with military honors.
Steve is survived by his wife Christine, daughter Stacey (Gregory) Mayo, stepsons Scott (Rachel) Eickman and Jeff Eickman, also siblings Susan (Jim) Luther, Michael Rebic, Cheri (Jack) Holland, Todd (Jessica) Rebic as well as six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and his loyal buddy, Rowdy.
