Stephanie Claire Gallad

Stephanie Claire Gallad, 70, passed away on September 8, 2026 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Stephanie was born in Caracas, Venezuela on March 2, 1956, to Patti Joyce Gallad and Jorge Gallad, before returning to the United States with her mother.

A voracious reader and always the funniest person in the room, Stephanie was hard to miss and impossible to forget.

From working in the birth of modern computing, to local government, to leading nationwide sales teams, Stephanie’s career was as diverse and fascinating as she was.

There were no strangers in Steph’s house, because the moment you entered she made sure you felt welcomed, and soon you would be eating and laughing with the rest of the family. (And thanks to her lifelong love of cooking, there was no chance you were going home without a plate full of leftovers.)

She is survived by her husband, Gary, her children Monica (Danny), Andrew (Cayce), Emily (Nick), step-daughter Melissa (Glen), grandson Benjamin, and her siblings Catherine, Lisa, and Justin.

A private ceremony was held with immediate family on September 10.
