Shirley Kay Barger

Shirley Kay Barger, 69, passed away on August 4, 2025.

She was born on September 14, 1955, in Norfolk Virginia to her parents George and Betty Jones.

Shirley graduated from Southport High School in 1974. She would then go onto work as a Title Clerk for over 20 years.

Shirley loved to drink coffee, spend time with her family and friends, and watch HGTV.

Shirley is survived by her sister Beckey Bridges; brother Doug Jones; daughter Shawna Sego; son Walter Sego; her grandchildren Jeffery Sego, Hanna Sego, Izabella Sego, Maverick Cruz; and great-grandchildren Archer and Jensen Sego.

Shirley was preceded in death by her father George Jones, her mother Betty Jones, her sister Loretta Jones, and her brother Richard Jones.

A celebration of life will be held by Shirley’s family in the months to follow.
