Sharon Kay Giddens, a radiant spirit who touched the lives of many, was born on August 11, 1948, and passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025, in Fishers, Indiana. She will be remembered not only for her bright and infectious personality but for her unwavering devotion to those she loved.

Sharon was a proud graduate of Wendell Willkie High School in Elwood, Indiana and then worked as a forklift operator for General Motors. Later in life she furthered her education at Anderson University, laying the groundwork for a life filled with fun and creativity.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Sharon valued her role as a homemaker above all. Her proudest achievement was raising her beloved son, Kaleb Giddens in a nurturing a home filled with warmth and laughter. She was the embodiment of love and support, always striving to help those around her become the best versions of themselves.

Her incredible cooking skills delighted family and friends alike, filling their lives with joy over shared meals and good company. Sharon exuded a zest for life, embracing the mundane moments with an adventurous spirit. She knew no strangers and opened her heart and home to everyone, showing them how to find joy even in the simplest things. Those who sought solace found in her a shoulder to lean on- a true friend shaped by her caring and independent spirit.

Sharon had a myriad of interests that showcased her vibrant personality. She delighted in music and attending live shows, water skiing and the serenity of lakes. Early in her life she enjoyed ballroom dancing. She participated in martial arts with her son- attaining the level of brown belt. Sharon was also a band mom for the Anderson High School Marching Band. As a Nana, she loved embracing her role, crafting joyous memories with her grandchildren, Karson and Quinn, who brought immense happiness to her life. Crafting was another of her passions, where she would express her creative side, making treasures by hand.

She is survived by her cherished son, Kaleb, and his wife, Rachael Giddens, alongside her precious grandchildren, Karson and Quinn and her niece, Cassandra Robertson.

Sharon is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Morris and Mildred Dean, her brother Richard Dean, and her life partner, Henry Connelly. She was also reunited in spirit with her loyal companion, Gizmo, who brought her boundless joy.

As we reflect on the indelible mark Sharon Kay Giddens left on each of our lives, we mourn her passing while celebrating a life fully lived. May her memory shine brightly in our hearts, reminding us to embrace life with joy, to love fiercely, and to never forget the importance of fun in the everyday moments.
