Shanae Robinson, 36, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on June 24, 2026. She was born on May 10, 1990, in Indianapolis, IN, to Edith Robinson.

Shanae was a beloved daughter, sister, niece, cousin, barber, and friend whose kindness, laughter, and love touched everyone who knew her. She had a beautiful spirit, a love for life, and an infectious smile. Determined and courageously assertive, Shanae possessed a subdued style, always respectful and in a good mood. She found joy in roller-skating, traveling the Caribbean–especially Jamaica–and being with her family and friends.

Shanae graduated from Ben Davis High School in 2008 and thereafter pursued and obtained her barber’s license from Kenny’s Academy of Barbering. Passionate about men’s grooming, she became an accomplished barber, perfected her skill in cutting hair, and built a successful and loyal client base. Whether natural, coarse, or curly hair, for men who needed a fade, a buzz cut, or a trim to a classic afro, Shanae was an expert. Affectionately known as Mocha The Barber, Shanae answered the call and was highly regarded for her skill with a straight razor whenever she lined up a beard. For ten years, she was a well-known barber at All Stars Barber on Indianapolis’ west side and had a special way of making you look and feel your best when you left her chair.

Above all, Shanae was treasured by her family. She shared an unbreakable bond with those she loved, and her presence brought joy to every gathering. Though her life was cut far too short, the love she gave and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

She is survived by her mother Edith Robinson, her sister Shaneice Robinson, her grandmother Jessie Cousins, her grandfather AJ Robinson Sr., (Kim), her uncles C. Stanley Parson and AJ Robinson, Jr. (Robyn), her aunt Crystal Harney (Jimmy) and a host of family and friends.

A memorial service celebrating Shanae’s life will be held on July 17, 2026 at Indiana Funeral Care located at 8151 Allisonville Road Indianapolis, IN 46250 with a repast to follow from 2:30pm-5:00pm located at Bliss Event Space 8445 Castleton Corner Dr.
