Scott Wise

Scott David Wise, 59, passed away on December 23, 2022, in Carmel, IN.

Scott was born in South Bend, IN, to Clifford Wise and Shirley Wise on January 1, 1963 - frustrating his accountant father due to missing a 1962 tax deduction by mere hours. Scott graduated from LaSalle High School in 1981 where he played varsity hockey and was captain his senior year. He went on to attend Mankato State University in Minnesota. After returning from Mankato State, he worked in the construction industry in South Bend and then relocated to Indianapolis in the late 1980's, where he worked in industrial sales. Scott went on to work in sales for Thomas Jefferson Roofing and Remodeling. 

Scott's son Sam was the love of his life and he received so much joy in watching Sam turn into the fine young man that he is today. Scott was also so thankful for Sam's mother, Dana and their continued partnership in raising him.

Scott was best known for his passion for fishing, carpentry and hockey (both playing and coaching). He volunteered many hours coaching youth hockey. 

Scott is survived by his son Sam and also survived by Michael (Christina) Wise - brother, of Greenwood, Rachel (Austin) McKinney - niece, Nathaniel (Emilee) Wise - nephew, Seth Wise - nephew, and a great nephew and great niece. 

Scott is preceded in death by his father Clifford Wise, and his mother Shirley Wise.

The service for Scott will be held on Friday, at 6:30 PM at Indiana Funeral Care 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250
