Tracy Scott Ridner "aka Scotty" 55, passed away Sunday August 16th at his home in Indianapolis.

Scotty was preceded in death by his parents George and June Ridner (Warfield).

He is survived by his siblings, Jeff (Leanne), Jackie, Donna (Steve), Doug (Terri), Travis (Katie): children: Zach, Gage (Bre), Taylor (Randy): grandchildren, Asher, Aspen, Kohen, Brewer & Emberlyn and many nieces and nephews.

Scott was a beloved son, brother, father, uncle, grandfather, and friend.

He was born in Florence, KY in 1970 and moved at an early age to the Southside of Indianapolis with his parents and five siblings where they made many lifelong friends. During early childhood, being the second youngest of six, the busy Ridner household created an abundance of love and family traditions. One of Scotty’s fondest childhood memories was the legendary Ridner wiffle ball field that is still talked about by many Southsiders today.

These early childhood moments sparked a lifelong passion for baseball where he played in several leagues from little league, pony league, high school, and adult leagues with siblings & friends. Some of his most memorable times playing baseball came from being on the Perry Meridian Varsity baseball team where he excelled as a second baseman.

"Scotty too Hottie” also loved hunting, music, and beer but he was most proud of his kids & grandkids! He loved them dearly as he did his parents and helped take care of them in their later years.

Anyone who knew Scotty will miss his kind and non-judgmental heart, his unique sense of humor and wit. Scotty never met a stranger and will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of getting to know him.

Rest in peace Scotty too Hottie, we love you!

Memorial visitation is Friday, August 28, 2026, 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel, 2433 E. Main Street, Greenwood, IN 46143.

Memorial service will begin at 6:00 pm.
