Samuel Lewis Yerian, age 81, passed away on March 2, 2026, in the company of cherished loved ones. Born on January 2, 1945, in Columbus, Ohio, Samuel grew up on a dairy farm in London, Ohio, where he developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for nature. He graduated from London High School, laying the groundwork for a life dedicated to both family and vocation.

On November 12, 1965, Samuel married his beloved wife, Jacqueline (Streator) Yerian, embarking on a journey filled with love and companionship. Together, they nurtured a family that includes their son Lewis, son Kenneth, daughter Celesta, as well as six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Samuel’s enduring commitment to his family was evident in all he did; his love for them was the guiding force throughout his life.

Samuel had a rewarding career as a trucking dispatcher, a role that allowed him to leverage his organizational skills and dedication to service. Beyond his professional life, he served his country with honor in the Army for six years, a period that contributed to his strong sense of duty and resilience.

As a multifaceted individual, Samuel had a passion for working with his hands. He was known for taking motors apart, putting them back together, and always enjoying projects involving cars, lawn mowers, and gardening. He was a true handyman, and his resourcefulness brought joy and support to many around him.

Samuel's interests extended into the great outdoors. He found pleasure in fishing and hunting, with summers spent in Canada dedicated to mission work. He also had a love for motorcycle racing and was forever drawn to the serenity found beneath nature’s beautiful trees. His passion for the outdoors reflected his zest for life.

Samuel will be deeply missed by those who loved him, including his devoted wife Jacqueline, their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Lewis Atwell Yerian, his mother, Levisa Jane (Russell) Yerian, his brother, Gideon Yerian, and his sister, Louvella (Yerian) Hackworth.
