Ruth L. Leverett of Noblesville, IN, passed away on May 21, 2024.
She was born in Cass County, IN, to Fred and Minnie Lewis on October 13, 1935, the youngest of seven children.
She graduated with Winamac High School in 1953 and then received her RN degree from the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in 1956.
Ruth and Clifford Leverett were married in May 1956 and shared 61 years together before his passing in 2017.
During Ruth's long career, she received her BSN and worked in a number of health settings in the Indianapolis area. She was a conscientious, compassionate and caring nurse.
Following their retirement, she and Cliff shared time and talents with First United Methodist Church in Noblesville which they enjoyed very much. Ruth assumed a leadership role in several Women's activities.
Ruth is survived by her 3 children who were the lights of her life: Sheila Leverett Taylor, Dale (Marcia) Leverett and Robert Leverett. Her grandchildren and great grandson were her star lights: Clayton (Mary) Leverett and Chelsea (Ben) Taylor, Coda and Astro. She is also survived by her sisters Donna Chidalek and Emily Morin Dyck, both of Logansport, IN, and numerous dear Leverett and Lewis relatives.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for later this year.
