Russell Shipley

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Russell Shipley, who passed away on October 2, 2026, at the age of 75. Russell was born on February 2, 1951, in Scottsville, Kentucky, to Louise Lawson and Kenneth Shipley.

Russell worked as a truck driver for many years. He was dependable and hardworking and a man of few words. He took pride in doing what needed to be done.

He loved old-time cars and riding his Harley-Davidson around Brown County. He enjoyed the freedom of being on his bike. His life was filled with hard work, good memories, and time spent with the people he loved.

Above all, Russell loved his family. He was proud of his children and grandchildren and loved them deeply. He is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Stead, and her husband, Joshua Stead; his daughter, Miranda Shipley; his son, Russell Shipley II, and his wife, Jennifer; and his daughter Jennifer Mosier. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Christina, Krista, Kara, Joshua II, Haylee, Russell III, and Madelyn; his great-grandchildren, Liliana and Jaxon; as well as multiple nieces, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents, Louise Lawson and Kenneth Shipley; his wife, Christine; and his siblings, Brenda and Danny.

He is now reunited with the love of his life, Christine, who passed before him. We find comfort in knowing they are together again, side by side, just as they should be. His final ride has taken him home to the woman he loved.

We will always carry with us the lessons, memories, and love Russell gave us throughout our lives. Though he may no longer be here beside us, his presence will remain in our hearts and in the memories we cherish.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
