Rosalyn Mary Hugus

Rosalyn Mary Tempero-Hugus, 88, of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, passed away on April 11, 2026, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Rosalyn was born on December 2, 1937, in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, to Anthony and Mabel Tempero. She attended school in Greensburg and later graduated from Mercy School of Nursing with her nursing license in Pittsburgh. She received her bachelor’s degree from Saint Francis in Joliet, Illinois, in 1987. She is the wife of the late G. Edward Hugus, married on June 14th, 1958, in Greensburg.

She worked as a school nurse for Warren Township School Systems for over 20 years. Rosalyn was actively involved in Holy Spirit Catholic Church, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra Women’s Committee, and the Indianapolis Museum of Art.

Rosalyn was preceded in death by her husband, G. Edward Hugus, and her parents, Anthony and Mabel Tempero.

She is survived by her children, Kay and Fritz Hugus; her grandchildren, Michael and Hanna Hugus; her great-grandchild, Aurora Albertson; and her beloved cousins, Carmela and Ann Marie Tempero.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on April 21, 2026, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7243 E. 10th St. Indianapolis, IN 46219. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on April 21, 2026, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, with Father Oscar officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Indiana Funeral Care East.
