Ronald “Scott” Locke, passed away on March 14, 2026. Born June 11, 1964, in Portland, Oregon, Scott’s life was marked by dedication, skill, and a deep love for both family and the passions that enriched his days.

Scott spent the majority of his working years as a commercial painter, a trade in which he took much pride. He often recounted how he painted nearly every Speedway gas station in the Midwest, a testament to his hard work and craftsmanship. His career was not just a profession but a legacy of diligence and attention to detail that many admired.

His educational journey began at Indianapolis Junior Academy, followed by graduation from North Central High School. Scott furthered his studies at Southern University College in Dale, Tennessee, laying a foundation of knowledge that would support his professional and personal growth.

An avid golf fan, Scott found profound joy in the game, especially when playing alongside his father in Texas and Arizona. Their partnership on the course was remarkable, winning numerous tournaments together. In addition to golf, Scott cherished spending time with his beloved partner of over fifteen years, Joan Karozos. Together, they enjoyed traveling and frequent visits to casinos and racetracks, delighting in the games of slots and ponies, moments that brought them laughter and companionship.

Scott is survived by his loving partner, Joan Karozos. His sister, Stacie (Peter) Locke Hansen, remains a close family member, alongside nephews Brandon Greenberg and Alex Hansen, niece Arianna (Daniel) Hansen Novak, and great nieces Gabrielle Greenberg and Sunday Novak—all of whom carry forward the warmth and memories of Scott’s life.

The family invites memorial contributions to be made to the Indiana Golf Foundation to help support their youth programs, building game changers by empowering kids and teens through golf. Scott's life was rich with meaningful relationships, dedicated craftsmanship, and spirited pursuits. He leaves behind a legacy of love, perseverance, and joy that will be treasured by all who knew him.
