Ronald Henderson, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on March 6, 1943, to Augustine & Joseph Henderson in Indianapolis, Indiana. His siblings preceded him in death Curtis Henderson, Augustine Marie White, Yvonne Cody, Rosalyn Cottrell, Lenise Jones. Ron lived a life of love, laughter, and trials that bought layers of wisdom. He attended Crispus Attucks in Indianapolis , IN

Ron was a loving father to Ronnie (Sonya)Henderson, Yvette Henderson, Keith (Madelyn)Henderson, Gary (Kelly)Henderson, and Christina (Semba) Allen. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren—Christina, Sean, Brooke, Randy, Makayla, Maya, Kayla, Diamyn, Domonique, Devion, Shavonna, Kyndal, Keiana, Gary II, Brooklynn, Bralen, and Brendan—and his beloved great-grandchildren.

Throughout life, Ronald spent time working in the printing business & known as the ticket man . He was a man of many talents and passions. Known for his skill in the kitchen, Ron's cooking was a staple at family gatherings… making some of the best soul food. He possessed a green thumb, nurturing plants that flourished in his home. He was also an avid bowler. Ron participated in leagues and competitions, where he shared camaraderie, jokes & competition.

Ron was good for direct and sometimes few words, wit and wisdom, that ranged from humorous to profound. One of his favorite expressions was “Well Alright” & "Life is real," his straightforward and authentic approach to life's challenges and joys. His faith was an important part of his life, providing guidance and solace, especially when he was able to attend church.

A visitation to honor Ron's life will be held on October 7, 2026, from 11 am to 1 pm, with repass to follow at Indiana Funeral Care East, located at 1307 N Shadeland Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46219. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Ron are invited to celebrate his memory.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the friends, caregivers, and those in independent living spaces who supported Ron through challenging times and contributed to his joy. Your kindness and companionship were greatly appreciated, and your presence made a significant impact on his life up until his peaceful transition.
