It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Franklin Reed on July 9, 2026. He will be remembered for his kind heart, infectious sense of humor, and love for life. Born on December 16, 1963 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Larky Reed and Esther Annis.

Robert proudly served his country as a United States Army veteran, dedicating 3 years of honorable service to the military. His commitment, courage, and patriotism reflected the values he carried throughout his life. 

When he wasn't serving others, Robert found joy in traveling, exploring the outdoors, riding his motorcycle, and hunting. He embraced every adventure with enthusiasm and made lasting memories wherever he went. Robert was truly the life of the party. His quick wit, warm smile, and ability to make everyone laugh brought happiness to countless family gatherings, celebrations, and everyday moments. 

Above all, Robert cherished the time he spent with his family and friends. The love he shared with those closest to him was the foundation of his life, and the memories created together will be treasured forever. Robert's legacy of laughter, loyalty, adventure, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. 

He is survived by 7 kids, 5 living in Indiana and 2 living in Texas. Chris Reed (Jessica), Jamie Ashcraft ( Levi), Kurtis Reed (Megan), Darren Reed (Ashley), Travis Middleton, Britney Reed (Chad), Tiffany Reed (Jason) and 16 grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Ginger Elmore (John), Pam Bealmear (Eddie deceased) and brother Rick Annis (Neica). 

He was preceded in Death by, his father Larky Reed (Marcella Reed), mother Esther Annis, Brothers & sisters, Dennis Reed (Violet living), Sonnie Bealmear (Butch), Vickie Kelly, Steve Reed I.

A celebration of Robert's life will be held on July 25, 2026 at 3pm at Ernie Pyle VFW.
