Robert Laurence Green

October 23, 1957 — June 28, 2025

Indianapolis

On the 28th day of June, Robert Laurence Green, 67, of Indianapolis, accomplished his ultimate goal- running into the arms of Jesus.

Born October 23, 1957, to the late James Lowell Green and Rosemary (Garrison) Green, Robert loved music, gardening, and playing cards. He especially loved cheering on his Yankees, Giants, and Boilermakers. Robert's greatest passion was sharing the love of Christ. He witnessed God's grace into his last days to everyone he met.

As a graduate of Northwest High School Class of 1976, Robert, a naturally talented athlete, ran cross country and played basketball both on school and recreational teams. He later went on to coach.

Though he never married, or had children of his own, Robert was a dedicated Pro-Life Advocate and was influential in “saving” several children over the years. He was also a dedicated uncle and enjoyed watching his twenty- two nieces and nephews and his eighteen great nieces and nephews grow up and begin families of their own.

He is survived by his five siblings: Ann (Kieth) Erwin, James (Charlotte) Green, Richard (Patty) Green, Michael (Lisa) Green, and Judy (Randy) Kennedy. He was preceded in death by his sister, Susan (Scott) Smith.

Though his passing was sudden, Robert would encourage us to spread the grace and goodness of God. He was a beloved brother, uncle, and friend. He was humble and kind. Robert will be greatly missed. His legacy will live on in the lives he touched. We take solace in knowing he is whole, and his soul is at peace.
