Robert "Bob" Joseph Harr, a kind soul and devoted man of faith, passed away on May 2, 2026, just shy of his 65th birthday. Born in Effingham, Illinois, on May 9, 1961, Bob spent his life putting others first and sharing his generous heart with everyone he met.
Bob was a man of many passions. Professionally, he enjoyed a successful career in technology sales with Cables for Less. Personally, he was a fervent fan of the Indiana Pacers and the Indianapolis Colts, rarely missing a chance to cheer on his favorite teams. In the kitchen, Bob was a master of his "secret" Creole recipe—a dish that became a staple of family gatherings.
Perhaps his most cherished role was playing Santa Claus during the family Christmas celebrations. Bob delighted in bringing magic and joy to his nieces and nephews, embodying the spirit of giving that defined his entire life. He was also an avid karaoke singer, often bringing people together through music and his infectious energy. A man who loved Jesus and loved to help others, Bob’s final wish was simple: for his family to remain close and continue to support one another.
Bob is survived by his siblings: Rosanna Howlett (Denver), John Harr (Joan), Virginia Reel (Norman), Marilyn Ferguson (Dale), Bryan Horr, Ross Harr, Margaret Beck (John), and Charles Harr (Maria). He also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss his warmth and good humor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ida Mae Horr, his sister-in-law Tina Nolan Harr and nephew, David Harr.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026 at Mount Pleasant Christian Church - West Side Campus, 9204 Crawfordsville Road, Clermont, Indiana. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with the Celebration of Life at 11 a.m.
