Ricky Lee Reum Sr.

Ricky Lee Reum Sr., born November 20, 1953, in Muncie, Indiana, went home to be with the Lord on July 18, 2026, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He will be remembered as a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Ricky built a life marked by hard work, dedication, and a deep passion for automobiles. He worked at Littler Diecast Corporation in Albany, Indiana for 26 years, where he was a valued employee. He later went on to run his own successful automotive business in Albany, R&R Automotive, for the next 20 years. His work reflected both his skill and his love for the trade, and he took pride in the years he spent serving others through it.

Cars were not only his work, but also one of the great joys of his life. As a teenager, he enjoyed racing derby cars, a pastime that reflected the enthusiasm for automobiles he carried throughout his years. In his free time, he enjoyed restoring classic cars and entering them in car shows, where he often won first place. Anything to do with cars was close to Ricky’s heart, and that passion became one of the defining threads of his life.

Above all, Ricky will be remembered by his family with love and gratitude. He is survived by his daughter, Chrystal Reum, and his son, Ricky Reum Jr. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Kelcy Burcham, Kamyah Ward, Jazlynn Ward, Elyjah Reum, and Lexi Phenis, who carry forward his memory. Ricky is also survived by his brother, George Reum Jr.; and by his sisters, Deborah Dotson, Jean Ann Butler, and Sharon Reum. Their lives were enriched by his love, his strength, and the many memories they shared together.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Reum Sr.; his mother, Mary Elizabeth Welch Reum; his son, Christopher Reum; his brothers, Tom Reum and Jim Reum Sr.; and his sister, Pamela Sue Quakenbush.

Ricky’s life was one of steady work, enduring passion, and devotion to family. He leaves behind memories that will be treasured and a legacy that will remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
