Rick Pahud

Rick Pahud, 72, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, in his hometown. Born on July 3, 1953, in Indianapolis, IN, Rick’s life was marked by unwavering faith and a deep love for his family and friends.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Jessica Pahud and Erica Pahud; his granddaughter, Ava Hornsby; and his brother, Nolan Pahud. Rick was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carmen Pahud; his sister, Donna Kottkamp; and his parents, Carol and Ornan Pahud.

Rick had a deep appreciation for music and playing the drums. His enthusiasm for music was matched only by his passion for the Indy 500. He cherished his time at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway year after year.

His strong Christian faith guided him through both triumphs and challenges and shaped the way he treated others—with compassion, humility, and grace. Those who knew Rick remember him as a sincere, loyal, hilarious, genuine, and generous person whose presence left a lasting impact.

A Funeral Service will be held on January 23, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM at Indiana Funeral Care, 2433 E Main St., Greenwood, IN. Visitation will take place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with a service at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, located at 620 West Main Street, Greenwood, IN 46142.
