Richard Lee Carroll

Richard Lee Carroll, 80, of Carmel, IN, died December 25, 2022 surrounded by his family. He was born on January 13, 1942, to James and Lulu Carroll. Richard is survived by his wife Janet, brother Alan, sister Patty, two children Suzanne (Kim) and Deborah, five grandchildren Erin (Stephen), Edward (Emily), Corey, Noah, and Annalisa, and great-grandson, Elijah. Richard also cared deeply for his unofficial adopted daughter, Daphne and her four children, Ghiche, Schuyler, Jersey, and Dana. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers James and Robert, and two sisters Mary and Margaret. Richard was a proud graduate of Cathedral High School where he played football, wrestled, and ran track. He spent his professional life as a salesman and his retirement playing golf, traveling to Charleston, and working as a bouncer at the Ale Emporium. Richard was an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts, Butler Bulldogs, and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Cathedral High School Scholarship Fund. A memorial for Richard will be held on Monday, January 23, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250
