Greg Boyer, born on June 15, 1954, in the vibrant city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 4, 2026, after an extended illness. His departure leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.

Greg was the beloved son of the late Richard Gene and Geraldine Joan Boyer, fondly known as Dick and Jerry. He grew up with a zest for life and a mischievous spirit, traits that would become hallmarks of his personality. Greg attended Miamisburg High School in Dayton, Ohio, graduating in 1972, and later pursued his studies at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Throughout his life, Greg explored various career paths, but it was his passion for the casino world that truly captivated him. He found immense joy working in the casinos of Tunica, Mississippi, where he embraced the lively atmosphere of the craps and poker tables. His love for the game was infectious, and it was here that Greg forged many lasting friendships.

In his personal life, Greg was a man of many interests. He cherished his time spent at the casino, but he also loved the tranquility of fishing, the camaraderie of bowling, and the challenge of a good round of golf. Known for his quick wit and hearty laugh, Greg was the consummate prankster, always ready with a jest or a playful trick. His competitive spirit was legendary, and his sisters, Sheryl Boyer Campen and Kristy Boyer Spurling, lovingly jest that his winning streaks were due to his supposed "cheating" ways—a family joke that never failed to bring smiles.

Greg's legacy lives on through his devoted son, William Scott Boyer, and his wife Kristen, his two beloved grandchildren, and his many nieces and nephews. His closest friend of 50 years, Doug Devine, will miss their shared adventures and the memories they created together.

In accordance with Greg's wishes, a private funeral ceremony was held to honor his life. The family plans to host a celebration of life early next year, providing an opportunity for friends and family to gather and reminisce about the joyous moments they shared with Greg.

In lieu of flowers, and in memory of Greg, the family kindly requests donations be made to the American Heart Association, an organization that held personal significance to him.

Greg Boyer will be remembered for his warmth, his humor, and the joy he brought to those around him. Though he has departed from this world, his spirit will continue to touch the lives of all who knew and loved him.
