Reynaldo Aguilar Casarez

Reynaldo Aguilar Casarez passed peacefully surrounded by family on September 2, 2026, at the age of 80. He was born on August 30, 1946, in Karnes City, Texas.

Reynaldo graduated from high school in 1964 and went on to serve his country in the United States Army from 1964 to 1967. His years of service reflected a steady sense of duty that remained part of his character throughout his life.

He will be remembered as a loving grandfather, an avid golfer, and a good friend to many. He enjoyed playing sports, especially golf, softball, and baseball, and also found happiness in fishing and gardening. These interests brought him both companionship and simple pleasures over the years, and they helped shape the warm and active life he shared with others.

Above all, Reynaldo cherished his family. He is survived by his son, Christopher (Chee) Casares, and his daughter, Annissa (Johnny) Sloan. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Craig (Victoria) Casares, Amber (Ryan) Ebersold, Larissa Sloan, Nicholas (Emily) Sloan, Austin (Maddy) Snider, Jacob (Hannah) Snider, and Matthew Snider; his great-grandchildren, Samula, Steven, Eloise, Sawyer, and Luka; and his siblings, brothers Mark (Melee) Casarez and George Casarez, and sisters Diana (Frank) Olvera and Maria Medrano. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, and his memory will remain a lasting source of comfort to his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Pablo Casarez Sr.; his mother, Audelia Aguilar Casarez; his brother, Pablo Casarez Jr.; and his great-grandson, Kingsley Sloan.

Visitation will be held on September 11, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Indiana Funeral Care - Greenwood Chapel, 2433 E. Main St., Greenwood, IN 46143. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the same location.

Reynaldo Aguilar Casarez will be remembered with love, gratitude, and respect for the life he lived and the family and friends who were blessed to share in it.
