Regina (Jeannie) Scott

January 1, 1946 — June 19, 2021

Regina (Jeannie) Weber Scott passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on June 19,
2021 at the age of 75. Regina lived her life fully, enjoying many roles. She was a long-time
secondary school teacher, an award-winning ballroom dancer, a stage actress and director, a
historical reenactment performer and tour guide for the Benjamin Harrison home and West
Baden Springs Hotel and Dome, a volunteer to help mentally challenged adults with life
skills and struggling children in school. Everything Regina did in life she accomplished it all
with excellence and grace. Regina was a devoted wife of 55 years, a mother, and a wonderful
grandmother. Regina was born January 1, 1946 to Joe and Doris Weber in Hammond,
Indiana. She lived also in California and Pennsylvania, before spending her high school and
college years in Albuquerque, New Mexico. There she married Eugene Scott and moved to
Indiana, where they lived for the rest of her life. Regina counted herself very blessed to have
been able to spend much of her time with her grandchildren throughout their growing up
years, known lovingly as Mamaw. Regina’s last earthly home was in Clayton, Indiana, where
she attended Clayton Presbyterian Church and enjoyed Bible study with her good friends
there. Regina is survived by her husband, Eugene Scott; her daughter and son-in-law, Karla
and Mike Peyton and their children, Zac and Allie Johnson; her son, Keith Scott; and her
brothers, Robert (Susan) Weber, and Daniel (Michelle) Weber. Jeannie was preceded in
death by her parents, Josephus C. and Doris Broyles Weber, and her brother, Josephus E.
(Rita) Weber. Regina is now joyfully absent from her body and present with her beloved
Savior Jesus, where she will be throughout all eternity. The world is a better place because of
Regina. A celebration of life will be held sometime in July. Please contact family for details.
Her wishes were that donations to any charity would be made in her name.
