Rebecca Lou Webb

November 22, 1936 — April 18, 2023

Indianapolis

Rebecca Lou Webb, 86, passed peacefully in Indianapolis IN on April 18, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born November 22, 1936, in Kokomo IN to Oscar and Juanita Faulkner who preceded her in death.

Rebecca is survived by her husband of 32 years, Melvin Webb, her brother Robert Faulkner, her children Becky (Bob) Schneider, Jeff (Kim) Mackey and her grandchildren, Olga Schneider, Brandon Mackey, Brett Mackey, and Whitney Mackey.  She was preceded in death by her sister Kathy Varga and her son Robin Mackey.

Rebecca was employed by SPM, Inc. of Birmingham, AL where she served as a Property Manager overseeing two high-rise senior living apartment buildings in West Palm Beach, FL.  This is where she met Melvin, a vendor at the apartments.  They later married and resided on the property.  They both retired in 2001 and moved to their hide-a-way in a Fish Camp near Okeechobee, FL.  There they had many friends and joyful times boating and fishing on the Kissimmee River.  Rebecca and Melvin relocated to Indianapolis IN in 2004 to be near her daughter and family.  Rebecca enjoyed many years of watching her granddaughter grow up as they lived right next to each other.  In 2020, Rebecca and Melvin moved into an assisted living community at The Wyndmoor of Castleton in Castleton IN.

Rebecca loved to create with her hands.  She was handy with a sewing machine and enjoyed designing and making jewelry in her retirement years.  She loved spending time with family and her friends in her senior living community.  Her favorite color was red, and she paired that with bright colors in her daily wardrobe.  Rebecca was always ready for a shopping trip and BINGO!  She will be greatly missed by her family and all her friends.
