Ray Robert Salisbury

Ray Robert Salisbury, 82, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away Friday, April 19, 2024, at home with family by his side. 

Ray was born on October 4, 1941, to the late Mallory Jack and Thelma (Spargar) Salisbury in Beech Grove, Indiana.

Ray graduated from Manual High School in 1961. He retired from International Harvester/Navistar in 1998 after 35 years as a Tool Trouble Shooter in Department 52. He was on the Executive Board of Local 98 UAW. He was also a Mason at the Englewood Lodge. Ray loved his family and friends, NASCAR, gardening and always loved spending winters in Florida surf fishing. 

Ray is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty (Lawrence) Salisbury; children, Deborah Runyon and her husband Robert, Mark Salisbury, Lindsy Kelsey; grandchildren, Tyler Smith and his wife Amber, Tiffany Tatro and her husband Derrick, Alyssa Hicks, Jaren Love; great grandchildren, Reagan Smith, Mason Tatro, Easton Tatro, Dawson Tatro; brother-in-law, Fred Lawrence. 

Memorial visitation is Thursday, April 25, 2024, 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel.

Mason ceremonies will begin at 5:00 pm with memorial service to follow.
