Randy Villeneuve

Randy Paul Villeneuve, 68, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, after a long illness.

Born in Berlin, New Hampshire, on June 22, 1957, and later raised in Portsmouth, NH, Randy grew up fascinated by mechanics and aviation. After graduating from Portsmouth High School, Class of 1975, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Serving as an aviation mechanic aboard the USS Nimitz, Randy saw the world while mastering a trade that became his lifelong passion. Stationed later in Jacksonville, Florida, he rose to the rank of E-4 before retiring from service in 1979.

Randy went on to work for NASA, applying his technical skills to support space missions—a career he found both exciting and meaningful.

He eventually met and married Sandi, the love of his life, and became a mentor to her three children, Jayson Altman, Jaymi Dark, and Kelli Cobb. Randy’s loyalty, humor, and quiet strength made him the heart of their blended family.

A true sports fan, Randy never missed a chance to cheer on his favorite teams—the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, Boston Celtics, and Boston Bruins. He also treasured the many lifelong friendships he maintained from his days in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and Galveston, Texas.

Randy is survived by his wife, Sandi of Indianapolis; sister, Lynne (Villeneuve) Gallagher, and brother-in-law, Jonathan Gallagher of Las Vegas, Nevada; godson, Dylan Gallagher of Yorba Linda, California; and nephews, Conor Gallagher of Washington, D.C., and Quinn Gallagher of Las Vegas, Nevada; as well as his “brother” Doug Bisson of Dallas, Texas. Randy was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Irene (Bisson) Villeneuve.

In keeping with Randy’s wishes, no funeral will be held. He hoped those whose lives he touched would remember to live fully, travel often, and take their adventures now rather than waiting for “one day.” As Randy would say, your ‘one day’ is today.
