Rachael Lynn Rakes

Rachael Lynn Rakes, 33, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on April 12, 2026.

Rachael was a vibrant soul who touched the lives of many with her big heart. She was known for her fun-loving spirit, her stubborn determination, and her straightforward nature—qualities that made her both strong and deeply loved by those who knew her.

She had a true passion for helping others and found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Rachael loved coloring, crafts, listening to music, doing her nails and trying her luck with scratch-offs. Her laughter and energy could light up any room, and she created many lasting memories with family and friends.

Above all, Rachael was a mother who was incredibly proud of her 3 children. They were her greatest joy.

She is survived by her loving parents, Dallas and Cynthia L. Rakes; her siblings, Austin Rakes and Cristina (Marvin) Brown; her grandfather, Ray Fraker; and her cherished children, Braylana, Kaliyah & Dreyvin. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A service to honor Rachael’s life will be held on April 22, 2026, at Indiana Funeral Care West (Rockville Road). Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Rachael’s memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched, and her love will never be forgotten.
