Indianapolis

Paula Jean McIntosh, born on December 11, 1947, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025.

A native spirit of Decatur, Paula carried the vibrant energy of her youth as a cheerleader at Decatur Central High School throughout her school years. Her supportive nature found a fitting role in her later years as she became an active supporter of Franklin Central athletics. Her presence at games was not just about cheering for scores but about nurturing the spirit of community and sportsmanship among the youth athletes.

A cherished member of her community, Paula dedicated much of her adult life to supporting local athletics and contributing to the enrichment of their young lives. Paula extended her commitment to community service by serving as a board member of the Franklin Township Girls Software Ladies Auxiliary. Here, she worked to ensure that the local girls had access to empowering sports experiences, fostering both skill development and personal growth among the participants. She was also an active member of Acton United Methodist Church.

Her commitment to family was evidenced by her joy in being a grandmother to her cherished granddaughter, Ella Jean Brown. Paulas legacy of kindness and community involvement will be remembered by all who knew her.

Paula was preceded in death by Betty McAdams (Mother), Robert McAdams (Father), and Andrew (AJ) Johnson (grandchild). She is survived by a loving circle of family members, Carol McAdams, Vicki Brown (Corey), Ella Jean Brown, Jeff McIntosh (Cyndy), Brandy Rafail (Ron), Gunnar Williams (Madison).

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on July 17, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. with a closing prayer at 7:00 p.m., at the Acton United Methodist Church, with Matt Stoltz officiating. This gathering will reflect the warmth and love Paula shared with everyone around her, celebrating her enduring impact on her community and loved ones.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated in her honor to either the St.Francis Cancer Care/Oncology Dept., or to the Acton United Methodist Church.
