On Friday, May 29, 2020 Paula Ann Walker, loving mother of two children, nana, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away at the age of 62.
Paula was born on October 11, 1957 in Muncie, IN to Gene & Alice Huffman. Paula was the daughter of a farmer and spent most of her life raising her family in the houses her family built with the help of her amazing family. Paula worked as a consultant, mainly helping small cities and towns thrive, for over 30 years of her life. She also owned her own flower business for several years, Everlasting Harvest, where she was able to make deep and lasting friendships while doing what she loved. Her passion was definitely making things grow. She was also an amazing cook and used that talent to cater many different events for family and friends. Many memories of her are while she was preparing food with a servant heart.
Paula was so good at making things beautiful. She was known for her quick wit, infectious laugh and smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit. She was slow to anger and had the heart of a giver.
Paula was preceded in death by her father Gene Huffman, and her brother, Bill Huffman (wife-Barb). She is survived by her two children, Jessie Whittenburg & Hannah Walker, her son-in-law Jake Whittenburg, her grandkids Loryn & Hollis Whittenburg, her mother Alice Huffman, her sisters Cynthia Whitehair (husband Paul) & Stephanie Wilson (husband Jay), her brother Dave Huffman (wife- Renee) and several nieces, nephews and cousins who all meant the world to her.
A small private memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at her eldest daughter’s home in Eaton, IN. Flowers and condolences can be sent to:
