Patricia Ann “Annie” (Taylor) Leach, 77, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home on August 20, 2026, following a courageous battle with end-stage liver cancer.

Annie was born September 10, 1948, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Omer “Earl” and Clara Taylor. Throughout her life, she worked as a waitress, general manager of a restaurant, and later devoted her career to advocacy and social work, serving children, adults and families.

Annie married the love of her life, Danny Leach, in 1986. Together they enjoyed traveling, entertaining family and friends, and hosting countless gatherings and pool parties and cookouts. Annie loved shopping, creating beautiful flower arrangements, celebrating the holidays and spending time with her family. Christmas held a particularly special place in her heart.

Above all, Annie was devoted to her family and her faith. She loved Jesus, enjoyed reading her Bible and treasured her roles as Mom, Grandma, Nini and Mimi. She will be remembered for her kindness, humor, generosity, loyalty and the unconditional love she gave so freely to others.

Annie is survived by her children, Melinda Orange (fiancé Mark Mitchell), Richard Benson, Michael (Kristi) Benson, Steve (Cindy) Leach, Christy (Ray) Kingery, and Doug (Sarah) Leach; her brother, Michael (Vicki) Taylor; her sister, Deborah McVay; and her many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Danny Leach; her children, LeAnna Benson and Robert “Brian” Benson; her parents, Omer “Earl” and Clara (Welch) Taylor; her sister, Rebecca Taylor; her brother, Kenneth Taylor; her grandson, Brian Patrick Benson; and her daughter-in-law, Natalie Benson.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Indiana Funeral Care North, with a service immediately following.

Annie’s family will forever remember a woman who loved deeply, gave generously and made certain that those she loved always knew they had a place to call home.
