Pamela Jean Lantis

Pamela Jean (Messer) Lantis, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on December 29, 2025, in her hometown of Beech Grove, Indiana. Born on August 17, 1951, in Beech Grove, Pamela touched the lives of many with her kindness and compassion.

Pamela dedicated her life to caring for others, always putting their needs above her own. She was known for her selflessness and her unwavering desire to help anyone she could. This remarkable personality trait earned her the deep affection and respect of all who knew her.

In her pursuit of education, Pamela obtained her GED, showing her commitment to personal growth. Throughout her life, she cherished the simple joys, particularly her love for reading, which provided her with endless hours of enjoyment.

Pamela is survived by her husband, Rick Lantis; her two sons, Tommy Lantis and Sean Lantis; her siblings, Angie Devine, Chuck Messer, Kitty Thompson and Cindy Gross; her nine grandchildren; and her eleven great-grandchildren. They will forever hold her close in their hearts, cherishing the memories they shared and the values she instilled in them.

She was predeceased by her father, Charles Messer, mother, Mary Messer, stepson Tony Lantis, and siblings Mary Price and Frank Messer, who, no doubt, welcomed her with open arms in the embrace of eternity.

Pamela's memory will be honored during a visitation and memorial service at Indiana Funeral Care - Greenwood Chapel, located at 2433 E. Main St., Greenwood, Indiana. The visitation will take place on January 9, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a memorial service beginning at 3:00 PM and concluding at 4:00 PM.

Pamela Jean Lantis leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness that will continue to inspire her family and friends. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched throughout her life.
