Ottis William Sines Jr.

Ottis William Sines Jr, 83, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on June, 7, 2026 in Indianapolis, IN.

Ottis was born in Indianapolis, IN to Ottis Sr and Wilma Sines on November 3, 1942. He married his late wife, Diana Sines on August 8, 1981. Ottis attended Manual High School and went on to join the Navy and during his dedicated service he worked as a mineman. Following his time in the Navy he worked as a union painter for many years.

Ottis is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Diana Sines; brother, Dennis Sines. He is survived by his children and their spouses, William and Elaine Potter, Stephen Sines, Shala and David Sutton; grandchildren, Matthew and Anastacia Vick, William and Shawna Vick Serena and Jake Johnson, David Potter, Isaac Potter, Martina Sutton; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Harold Sines and a host of extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday July 6, 2026 from 11am to 1pm at Indiana Funeral Care East, 1307 N Shadeland Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46219. A memorial service will immediately follow at 1pm at the funeral home. A burial with military honors will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Indianapolis.
